Privacy & Data settings help you manage your information, export data, and understand how PartnerAlly handles your data.

Accessing Privacy Settings

Go to Settings

Click Settings in the sidebar.

Click "Privacy & Data"

Opens data management options.

Data Export

What You Can Export

Export your data in standard formats:

Requesting an Export

Click "Export My Data"

Opens export dialog.

Select Data Types

Choose what to include.

Request Export

Processing begins.

Download When Ready

Receive email when complete.

Export Processing

  • Small exports: Minutes
  • Large exports: Hours
  • Very large: Up to 24 hours
  • You're emailed when ready

Exports include only your personal data. Organization-wide data exports are available to admins.

Admin Export

Organization admins can export:

  • All organization documents
  • All gaps and risks
  • All workflows and tasks
  • All user activity
  • Compliance reports

Compliance Reports

Generate reports for:

  • Audit documentation
  • Management reporting
  • Regulatory submissions
  • Backup purposes

Data Retention

How Long Data Is Kept

After Account Deletion

When you delete your account:

  • Personal data removed within 30 days
  • Some data retained for legal compliance
  • Organization data preserved (not tied to you)
  • Backups purged per schedule

Profile Visibility

Control who sees your profile:

  • Within organization (default)
  • Minimal visibility

Activity Privacy

Control activity visibility:

  • Your activity on items
  • Last seen status
  • Current status

Communication Preferences

Control how we contact you:

  • Marketing emails (opt-out)
  • Product updates (opt-out)
  • Essential notifications (cannot disable)

Data Processing

Where Data Is Processed

PartnerAlly processes data in:

  • Secure cloud infrastructure
  • Regions based on your organization
  • With appropriate safeguards

Data Security

Your data is protected by:

  • Encryption at rest
  • Encryption in transit
  • Access controls
  • Regular security audits

Third-Party Processing

Limited third-party access:

  • AI processing (as documented)
  • Cloud infrastructure
  • Essential services only
  • All under DPA agreements

Analytics Opt-Out

To opt out of analytics:

  1. Go to Privacy settings
  2. Find Analytics section
  3. Toggle off participation
  4. Changes apply immediately

Data Deletion

Deleting Specific Data

Remove specific items:

  • Documents: Delete from Documents page
  • Comments: Delete from the comment
  • Exported data: Files expire after download

Common Questions

Is my data shared with other customers?

No. Your organization's data is completely isolated from other customers.

Can I see what data you have about me?

Yes. Use the export feature to receive a complete copy of your data.

How do I request data deletion?

For personal data, delete your account. For specific items, use in-app deletion. For other requests, contact support.

What happens to my documents after deletion?

Deleted documents enter a 30-day recovery period, then are permanently removed.
