How do I create an account?
- Go to partnerally.com
- Click "Get Started" or "Sign Up"
- Sign in with your Google account
- Complete the onboarding process

What browsers are supported?
PartnerAlly works best on:
- Chrome (recommended)
- Firefox
- Safari

Use the latest version for best experience.
Can I use PartnerAlly on mobile?
PartnerAlly is designed for desktop use. Mobile access is possible for viewing and basic tasks, but full functionality requires a desktop browser.
How do I invite team members?
- Go to Settings > Members
- Click "Invite Members"
- Enter email addresses
- Select roles
- Send invitations

Documents & Analysis
What file types can I upload?
PartnerAlly accepts:
- PDF (recommended)
- Word documents (.docx)
- Text files (.txt)
- Markdown (.md)
How long does document analysis take?
- Short documents (1-5 pages): Under 1 minute
- Medium documents (5-20 pages): 1-3 minutes
- Large documents (20+ pages): 3-5 minutes
Why did my document analysis fail?
Common reasons:
- Password-protected PDF
- Corrupted file
- Image-only PDF (no text)
- Unsupported format
Try re-uploading or converting to a different format.
Can AI read scanned documents?
AI works best with text-based PDFs. Scanned documents (images of text) have limited accuracy. Use OCR software first for best results.
How do I re-analyze a document?
- Go to Documents
- Open the document
- Click "Re-analyze"
- Wait for new results
Compliance Gaps
What is a compliance gap?
A gap is a deficiency where your current policies, procedures, or controls don't fully meet a regulatory or framework requirement.
How are gaps identified?
AI analyzes your documents against enabled frameworks and identifies where requirements aren't addressed or are partially addressed.
Can I add gaps manually?
Yes. Use the "Add Gap" button on the Gaps page to create gaps identified through manual review or external audits.
What do severity levels mean?

| Critical | Immediate attention required |
| High | Address promptly |
| Medium | Plan for remediation |
| Low | Address as resources allow |
How do I mark a gap as a false positive?
- Open the gap
- Change status to "False Positive"
- Add a note explaining why
- Save
Workflows & Tasks
How do I create a workflow?
Two options:
- AI Generation: From a gap, click "Generate Workflow"
- Manual: Go to Workflows > Create Workflow

Can I edit generated workflows?
Yes. Generated workflows are starting points. Add, remove, or modify tasks as needed.
How do I assign a task?
- Open the task
- Click the assignee field
- Select a team member
- Save
What task statuses are available?
- Not Started
- In Progress
- Blocked
- Completed
Can tasks have dependencies?
Yes, within workflows. Tasks can depend on other tasks, preventing them from starting until prerequisites are complete.
AI Features
How accurate is the AI?
Accuracy varies based on:
- Document quality and clarity
- Framework complexity
- Control specificity
High-confidence findings are typically 90%+ accurate. Always review AI outputs, especially for critical items.
Does AI learn from my data?
No. Your documents are processed for analysis only. They are not used to train AI models.
Can I trust AI-generated workflows?
Use them as starting points. Always review and customize for your organization's context, tools, and processes.
What is a confidence score?
A percentage indicating how certain the AI is about a finding. Higher scores mean stronger evidence and more certainty.
Risk Management
What's the difference between gaps and risks?
- Gaps: Specific compliance deficiencies against framework requirements
- Risks: Broader potential threats to the organization
Gaps are a subset of risks. Risks can include gaps plus other concerns.
How does the priority queue work?
AI analyzes factors like severity, likelihood, and business impact to rank which risks to address first.
Can I add custom risks?
Yes. Use "Add Risk" on the Risks page to add risks from assessments, audits, or other sources.
Forms
Can I create custom forms?
Yes. Use the Form Builder to create forms with various field types.
Are there form templates?
Yes. Templates are available for common compliance tasks. Access them when creating a new form.
Where do form responses go?
Responses are stored within PartnerAlly. View them on the form's Responses tab or export them.
Settings & Admin
How do I change my password?
PartnerAlly uses Google authentication. Change your password in your Google account settings.
Can I change my email address?
Your email is tied to your Google account. To use a different email, sign up with that Google account.
How do I add more frameworks?
- Go to Settings > Frameworks
- Enable desired frameworks
- Existing documents will be re-analyzed
What's the difference between Admin and User roles?

How do I delete my account?
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Data
- Scroll to Delete Account

Does PartnerAlly integrate with Slack?
Yes. Connect Slack to receive notifications in channels and get personal DMs for assignments.

Troubleshooting
The page won't load
Try:
- Refresh the page
- Clear browser cache
- Try a different browser
- Check your internet connection
- Check the status page
I'm locked out of my account
- Try signing in again
- Check your Google account access
- Contact support if issues persist
Notifications aren't working
Check:
- Notification settings are enabled
- Email isn't in spam
- Slack integration is connected (if using)
- Browser notifications are allowed
Analysis is taking too long
Large documents take longer. If analysis seems stuck:
- Check the document isn't too large
- Try uploading again
- Contact support if it persists
