Completing Onboarding

Set up your profile, organization, and select your compliance frameworks.

Completing Onboarding

The onboarding process helps us personalize PartnerAlly for your organization. It takes about 5 minutes and consists of 4 steps.

The 4-Step Process

Step 1: Accept Terms of Service

Before using PartnerAlly, you'll need to review and accept three documents:

Click each document title to read it in full. Once you've reviewed them, check the box and click Continue.

You can access these policies anytime from Settings → Privacy & Data or the footer of any page.

Step 2: Your Information

Tell us about yourself:

  • First Name - Required, used throughout the platform
  • Last Name - Optional but recommended
  • Timezone - For accurate due dates and notifications

We pre-fill your name from your Google account, but you can change it.

Supported Timezones:

  • US: Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaska, Hawaii
  • Canada: Toronto, Vancouver
  • Europe: London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam
  • Asia: Tokyo, Shanghai, Singapore, Dubai, India
  • Pacific: Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland
  • UTC

Step 3: Organization Setup

Create or join an organization:

Joining an Existing Organization

If you were invited by a teammate, you'll automatically join their organization and can skip this step.

Step 4: Select Frameworks

Choose which compliance frameworks you need to manage. Based on your industry and company size, we'll recommend frameworks that are most relevant.

Available Frameworks:

Don't worry about getting this perfect. You can enable or disable frameworks anytime in Settings.

Select at least one framework to continue. Frameworks with a star (★) are recommended for your industry.

After Onboarding

Once you complete onboarding, you'll land on your dashboard. From here, you can:

  1. Upload documents - Start with your existing policies
  2. Review framework health - See your initial compliance posture
  3. Invite teammates - Bring in your compliance and security team
  4. Complete framework setup - Follow guided questionnaires

Framework-Specific Setup

After enabling a framework, you'll see a "Start Setup" button. This opens a guided questionnaire that helps PartnerAlly understand your current compliance state.

The setup includes:

  • Questions about your current controls
  • Document upload prompts
  • Maturity assessment questions
  • Customization options

Changing Your Choices Later

Everything you enter during onboarding can be changed later:
