Configure how and when you receive alerts and notifications.

Notification Settings

Notification settings control how you receive alerts about tasks, gaps, workflows, and other platform activity.

Accessing Notification Settings

Go to Settings

Click Settings in the sidebar.

Click "Notifications"

Opens notification configuration.

Notification Channels

In-App Notifications

Appear within PartnerAlly:

  • Bell icon in header shows count
  • Click to see notification list
  • Mark as read or dismiss

Email Notifications

Sent to your account email:

  • Immediate or digest options
  • Can be disabled entirely
  • Formatted for readability

Slack Notifications

If Slack integration is enabled:

  • Receive alerts in Slack channels
  • Personal DMs for assigned items
  • Configure in Integrations

Start with default settings and adjust based on what feels too noisy or too quiet.

Configuring Notifications

Turning Notifications On/Off

Find the Notification

Locate in the settings list.

Toggle Switch

Click to enable or disable.

Save

Changes apply immediately.

Setting Delivery Method

For each notification:

  1. Choose channel (In-App, Email, Both)
  2. Choose timing (Immediate or Digest)
  3. Save preferences

Email Digest

What's a Digest?

A digest bundles notifications:

  • Reduces email volume
  • Sent at scheduled times
  • Summarizes activity

Digest Timing

Configure when digests are sent:

  • Time of day (in your timezone)
  • Day of week (for weekly)
  • Quiet hours (no emails during)

What Are Quiet Hours?

Prevent notifications during specific times:

  • Evenings and nights
  • Weekends
  • Custom schedules

Configuring Quiet Hours

Enable Quiet Hours

Turn on the feature.

Set Start Time

When quiet hours begin.

Set End Time

When quiet hours end.

Choose Days

Which days to apply.

During Quiet Hours

  • In-app notifications still appear
  • Emails are held for later
  • Urgent notifications may override (optional)

Quiet hours only affect delivery. Notifications are still generated and visible in-app.

Notification Preferences by Role

For Compliance Managers

Recommended settings:

  • All gap notifications
  • All workflow notifications
  • Task summaries as digest
  • Critical items immediate

For Team Members

Recommended settings:

  • Tasks assigned to me
  • My workflow updates
  • Due date reminders
  • Comments and mentions

For Executives

Recommended settings:

  • Weekly digest only
  • Critical items immediate
  • Summary reports

Managing Notification Volume

Too Many Notifications?

Reduce volume by:

  1. Switching to digests
  2. Disabling low-priority items
  3. Using quiet hours
  4. Adjusting thresholds

Missing Important Updates?

Increase notifications by:

  1. Enabling more categories
  2. Using immediate delivery
  3. Adding email channel
  4. Configuring urgency

@Mentions

How @Mentions Work

When someone @mentions you:

  • Always notified (can't disable)
  • Both in-app and email
  • Links directly to the comment

Configuring @Mention Notifications

Limited configuration:

  • Channel (in-app always, email optional)
  • No digest option (always immediate)

Notification History

Viewing Past Notifications

See notification history:

  1. Click the notification bell
  2. Scroll through history
  3. Click "See All" for full list

Marking as Read

  • Individual: Click notification
  • All: Click "Mark All Read"

Common Questions

Why am I not receiving emails?

Check:

  1. Email notifications are enabled
  2. Check spam folder
  3. Verify email address is correct
  4. Check quiet hours settings

How do I stop all notifications?

To minimize notifications:

  1. Disable email notifications
  2. Disable non-essential in-app
  3. Can't disable all (some are required)

Can I get notifications for specific frameworks?

Yes, if available:

  • Configure in Advanced settings
  • Filter by framework
  • Set framework-specific thresholds

Do notifications count against any limits?

No, notifications are unlimited. However, reducing volume improves focus.
